Clarifying Concepts

During the month of Ramadan Muslims do good and avoid their bad habits, but after Ramadan, will Muslims keep doing good, or will they go back to their bad habits?

The month of Ramadan is over, but during that time Muslims from all over the world are performing the fifth pillar of Islam, with is Hajj, or pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.

Imam Abdullah mentions the important of explaining the different concepts, such as what makes a person bankrupt in this life and the hereafter, and these factors should not be taken for granted, because in  the end they will be a person's downfall in the life after death. What the word "freedom" means in Islam and explains why. Also the different ways in which we are not free. There is only one way to get pleasure from Allah in this world.

Death of The Prophet Muhammad SWS

Imam Abdullah mentions the different stories that have been told from different perspectives of the companions of Prophet Muhammad SWS on the day he died, as well as the last Hajj Prophet Muhammad SWS has performed. Imam Abdullah mentioned the the Prophet Muhammad SWS was sick and had someone else lead the prayer for him, because he could not go to the mosque, and the condition of the Prophet SWS got worst. When Prophet Muhammad SWS died, his followers were reminded to continue to follow Allah (God), and not Muhammad SWS, because he is just the messenger of God.

The Days Allah Saved Prophet Musa (Moses) From the Pharaoh

Imam Abdullah why Muslims celebrate on those days, to say that they love prophet Musa and to fast during those days, and explains why Allah wants Muslims to celebrate on that day, and to show how the bonds of the beliefs/faiths is more important than any other ties.

Guidelines for Every Nation to be Honored in this Life and the Hereafter

Imam Abdullah talks about Surah number 8 in the Qur'an Suarh Al-Anfal or spoils of war, and how to get the honor and the dignity, as well as the success in this life and the hereafter. All Muslims worship the same God Allah SWT, follow the same Messenger Prophet Muhammad SWS, and read the same books, which is the Quran. It is important to be patient with everyone, even with the people who you do not get along with.

The Fiqh

Imam Abdullah talks about the Fiqh, or the knowledge about the worships of Allah from the scholars. First is the relationship between the worshiper and Allah. The second part is the dealing among people and how they deal with each other (money transactions) in a way that pleases Allah. The third part is the relationship between the ruler and the people.

Prophet Yusuf

Imam Abdullah talks about the story of Prophet Yusuf, or Joseph.

Tafseer for Surah Al-Jinn

Imam Abdullah talks about the 72nd surah/chapter in the Qur'an Suah Al-Jinn, which is about the Jinn. The Prophet Muhammad SWS was sent to both mankind and jinn-kind. There were a group of Jinn, with a number from 3 to 9 that listen to the Qur'an. The Jinn have a beautiful reaction to the Qur'an, while the people need to think about the verse of the Qur'an, but the Jinn said that the Qur'an guides to the right path, and that they have believed in the Qur'an. The steps of the Qur'an is to first listen to the verses of the Qur'an, and the second step is to react to those verses.
