Food sales

Showdown is an event where every university in Texas that has a Muslim Student Association (MSA) get together for competitions. These competitions include: Islamic studies, tajweed (reciting from the Qur’an correctly and perfectly), poems, basketball, art (where a description of the artwork is worth a lot of points), writing, stand up poetry will take place before the videos, and nasheed (singing), where the males and the females are participating in different groups. Food sales have been the main source of income for the MSA here at the university of Texas at Tyler, and they are usually held after Jummah or Friday prayer. This week the MSA will be holding a food sale, where they have just placed their order today. The MSA has also announced its first class will be held next week at RBN 02012 from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
